Drones weighing more than 250 grams, and don’t have a safety declaration are prohibited to fly over people not in your crew. When flying over people we usually opt to fly something less than 250 grams (the weight of a half full water bottle), and with guards around the propellers.

Yes, with small “ducted” drones you are able to fly indoors with minimal risk. The ducts stop walls and people from making contact with the props.

Depending on the situation, some operations could require a Speacial Flight Operation Certificate (SFOC) or airspace authorization in controlled airspace.

The camera on an FPV drone is hard mounted to the frame. When the drone moves, so does the camera. In comparison, a conventional drone keeps the camera level at all times. You are able to tilt the camera up and down independently. A conventional drone is like a camera crane or dolly in the air, and an FPV drone feels like you are flying in a helicopter. While it isn’t the right tool in every scenereo, it can add a huge amount of energy and immersion in a shot.
